How it works

  1. Download the StepBlocker desktop app (see below)
  2. Block distracting websites on your computer
  3. When you want to unblock, come here on your phone
  4. Walk 2,000 steps to get the unlock code
  5. Enter the code in the desktop app to unblock

📥 Get the Desktop App

You need the desktop app to block websites. The step tracker (this page) generates unlock codes.

How to install:

  1. Download and unzip the file
  2. Drag StepBlocker.app to your Applications folder
  3. Right-click (or Control-click) on the app
  4. Click "Open" from the menu
  5. Click "Open" again when the popup appears

⚠️ "Cannot be opened" warning?

This happens because the app isn't from the App Store. It's safe — the code isopen source on GitHub.

Still blocked? Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click "Open Anyway" next to StepBlocker.
